How to make an easy mango dessert-Mango Sago/Sabudana

This mango sabudana/sago is a quick and delicious dessert. You don’t have to boil milk for hours then chill it etc. Enjoy this refreshing dessert especially during summer time.



  1. Take a pot of boiling water
  2. Add Sabudana to it and boil until they turn transparent. This should take 30-40 min
  3. You could add some more hot water to the pot if the water gets too thick
  4. Drain the water
  5. Add the boiled Sabudana in a bowl with water (at room temperature) till we are ready to use it
  6. Take 1/2 cup warm whole milk in a bowl. You can heat it in the microwave oven for 20 sec to warm it as well 
  7. Add milk powder and mix in
  8. Add a pinch of kesar or saffron and stir
  9. Add 1/2 cup of chilled whole milk
  10. Add mango purée. You can either use store bought mango purée or blend some mangoes
  11. Add a pinch of salt and sugar to taste
  12. Drain off water from the Sabudana and add it in
  13. Add mango pieces
  14. Garnish with slivered almonds and pistachios
