Description

Khubani Ka Meetha is a famous Hyderabadi dessert made of dried apricots. This delightful preparation pairs well with heavy cream or vanilla ice cream and nuts.

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop 1 cup of dried apricots and pour it in a pressure cooker
  2. Add enough water to just cover the apricot pieces (approximately 2 cups)
  3. Pressure cook for 15-20 min or until the apricots turn soft on low/medium heat
  4. Turn off the heat and mash the apricots
  5. Turn the heat back to low, add 1 cup of sugar (or to taste) and stir till the sugar dissolves
  6. Khubani ka meetha tastes best when garnished with nuts (like almonds and pistachios) and served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!

Notes

  • You can add some green cardamom powder if you like!
